Where Airbyte fit in
Airbyte worked closely with the Sparkhub team to design their MVP web app. We went through various discovery, ideation and wireframing sessions, in order to come up with the best possible solution that was most relevant to their users and business goals.

The Solution
After a lot of prototyping and a number of ideation sessions, we came up with a simple UX design that allowed users of the 2-sided application to easily navigate the various sections of the application. We had to specifically factor in the available development resource and required timeline when looking into the complexity of various features.

Our aim was to create something that was fundamentally intuitive and allowed users to find what they are looking for as quickly as possible. While doing this, we needed related content to be engaging and descriptive.

Rabbit Holes
In order to create engaging content, the aim was to create 'rabbit holes' of related content so that users could engage with a plethora of different content types that complement their original interest. In order to make this happen, we had to design the UX and interface of how the viewers would navigate these rabbit holes, but also had to design the method for creators to upload and manage their rabbit holes.

MVP UI Assets
Despite this being an MVP design and build, we created a number of assets that were easy to create and implement, and could be quickly developed and iterated upon in future.

Final thoughts
Designing an MVP is a multi-step process that requires significant thought to be put into the required features and functionality as well as understanding the engineering resource allocation. We also had to take into account, the fact that the 2 user-types on each side of the application were demographically, very different and required different levels & styles of interaction.

The project was a great success with the application being built in its entirety, following the exact designs and user flows that were implemented during our design process.
